Food Villains: Accountability for Corporate Negligence

In this episode…

I share thoughts and frustration about the unspeakably sad tragedy in 1993, where undercooked burgers from Jack in the Box resulted in the death of 4 young children and permanent injury to almost 200 others.

I discuss corporate negligence and how that can affect YOUR health if you put your blind trust in them and the government.

I couldn’t believe there were no consequences with real teeth as a result of the Jack in the Box incident, so I dug in to see where we are today in terms of accountability for food safety. I found two cases… For me, that’s not solid enough to put blind trust in the system (not that anything would be… blind trust is foolish, in my not-so-humble opinion).

POST EDIT UPDATE: I edit my own podcast and I like doing it because sometimes, in listening, I have a new realization about the topic. What I realized from this episode is that maybe the PCA convictions were nothing more than a sacrifice to pacify the public… MAYBE. I don’t know. It’s a thought that crossed my mind after further thought.

Also, my bigger point, for YOU, is that food is literally what fuels your body. Healthy food means the difference between a healthy body to get through this life or an unhealthy, diseased body. The conditioning that’s all around us makes it seem like food is unimportant, when it is literally one of the most important things.
